ANZAC Service

GPS held a small Anzac service today in place of the regular combined annual service with Sacred Heart. Fortunately, the rain stopped long enough for us to hold the service around the flag poles where we took time to reflect and honour the brave men and women who have made sacrifices for our country. Our community guest speaker, Mr Mal Craig, shared a special address with our students and our own Ms Genine Smith shared a family story about her grandparents' experience fighting for Australia. Our school leaders did an excellent job in hosting the ceremony and our students sang beautifully throughout. Thanks again to Ms Smith and Mr Craig for speaking to us today; it is appreciated.
